Unlimited Nutrition Fundraiser for WAHS Animals!
Coming up on Monday, January 15th, Unlimited Nutrition in downtown Winona will be donating profits from select teas to the Winona Area Humane Society! Make sure to stop by to say hi to our awesome volunteer hosting the event, and meet two of WAHS’ puppies available for adoption!

‘Tis the season for our annual end-of-year fundraiser, Paws for Reflection! Each holiday season, we like to give our community an opportunity to pay tribute to animals that have impacted your lives, while raising funds to improve shelter animals’ lives.
An Affair for the Animals
Please join the Winona Area Humane Society and Hy-Vee at Signatures Event Center for the 23rd annual “An Affair for the Animals!” Guests will enjoy a delightful evening of wine & beer tasting, silent auction bidding, and raffle prizes. All proceeds go towards supporting animals in the Humane Society’s care.
Read with Cats!
Reservation Required: On August 19th, in recognition of “International Homeless Pets Day,” we will be hosting a special reading at WAHS for kids. Jenny Baertsch will read chapters of her book Junkyard Tough: A “Tail” of Bravery, inspired by her very own cat who was once a stray kitten!
Car Washes for the Cats & Canines
Each month, Gilmore Avenue Car Wash & Quick Lube gives back to nonprofits through their Community Wash Program. And excitingly, the Winona Area Humane Society has been selected as the August donation recipient! Check out the event page to learn how it works.
Paws for a Cause
The 2nd annual Paws for a Cause is on! Stop down to Lyle’s Flooring America on July 22nd for a great hot meal and all of the puppy spoils! More details on the meal and fun are coming soon.

“June is National Cat Adoption Month! Join Paperbacks and Pieces, Jenny Baertsch, and the Winona Area Humane Society for a special story time collaboration. Jenny will be reading from her smash hit 'Junkyard Tough,' and the Humane Society will join to talk about the importance of animal adoption and caring for kittens/cats.”
