Extra pet food offered to community members in need

pet food pantry

At WAHS, we do everything we can to help animals stay in their homes. This includes providing free pet food to people who are having a difficult time feeding their animal companions. If you or someone you know is experiencing financial difficulties and could benefit from donated dog or cat food, please give us a call!

Dog happily reunited with his family

reuniting pets with their people

Despite owners’ best efforts, sometimes pets escape their homes and become lost. When a lost pet comes to WAHS, our hope is always for a happy reunion with their family! If your animal is at our shelter, click the button below for reclaiming details.

Cat perching on shelving

providing shelter for adoptable animals

Hundreds of animals are housed in our facility each year while they wait to find forever homes. We are fortunate to have spacious living environments for both cats and dogs in our facility, as well as a dedicated foster network for animals outside of the shelter.

Microchipping

Getting your pet microchipped gives them the best chance of reuniting with you, should they ever go missing. Choosing to get your pet chipped at WAHS comes at a very reasonable cost - and you’re supporting homeless animals at the same time!
