About Scarlett:

Meet the medium-sized bundle of joy that is Scarlett! Scarlett may take a moment to warm up when she initially meets a new person, but she bounces back quickly – and in no time at all, she’s your best friend. 

At just over 10 months old, Scarlett is not the typical highly active, on-the-go-at-all-times energetic puppy. While she certainly enjoys playtime and sufficient daily exercise, she’s more of an old soul and gravitates toward calm time alongside her people.

Now that Scarlett’s been introduced to the goodness of treats, she’s very food-motivated and that’s helping her learn new skills. She knows ‘sit,’ ‘shake,’ and she walks nicely on leash. Scarlett’s still trying to get the hang of potty training and the indoor household environment may be new to her, but with consistency, frequency, positive reinforcement, and patience, there’s no doubt her house training will come along well.

Scarlett gets an A+ rating around other dogs and loves playing with them. Joining a home with another dog will be beneficial for her to have a built-in playmate and companion. While she hasn’t been directly introduced to cats at the shelter, we feel she’d most likely do well around them. And she gets along with respectful children just fine, too.

One thing Scarlett’s not a fan of is car rides, so a family that’s home often will be best. Then she can stay safely tucked away at her home base without going on a ton of travels.
