About Oliver:
Oliver is a walking ray of sunshine. He brightens any room with his outgoing nature, curiosity, and little tail wags of happiness. Oliver quickly makes the rounds and ensures he’s greeted everyone – especially if they have his favorite soft treats.
Although Oliver isn’t 100% ready to be adopted (he’s scheduled for an upcoming neuter), he’s eager to meet new friends and, hopefully, connect with a special adopter so he can go home shortly after he’s healed.
We’re still getting to know Oliver’s full personality, but so far he’s shown a great love of hanging out with his favorite people. He’s spent a lot of time near the cat bays at WAHS and remains fairly calm around them, and may do well with fellow relaxed dogs after proper introductions. Oliver enjoys being a couch potato just as much as he enjoys his leisurely walks, and he’d fit well into a relaxed home.
It’s important for potential adopters to note that Oliver experiences frequent urination, which is sometimes out of his control. He did test positive for both Lyme’s Disease and anaplasmosis which could be related and improve as the conditions are treated, or it could be a behavior developed over time. It is easily managed and shouldn’t detract from the endearing personality Oliver possesses, but we do want possible families to be aware and prepared.
Oliver’s an older boy who eagerly approaches every new adventure with enthusiasm, and he deserves a delightful family who welcomes him in the second half of life. Fill out an application below to see if you and Oliver match!
