Reuniting Pets & People

Despite owners’ best efforts, sometimes pets escape their homes and become lost. When a lost pet comes to WAHS, our hope is always for a happy reunion with their family! If your animal is at our shelter, click the button below for reclaiming details.

WAHS accepts stray dogs and cats in accordance with care capacity and housing space, advertises these animals to hopefully find their owners, and guides pet owners on what to do if their pet is missing.

Stray & Lost Pets

The LaLiSa Fund was created to reimburse community members who get stray and feral cats spayed/neutered, helping to reduce the stray cat population.

S/N Reimbursment Assistance for Cats

Depending on intake space, WAHS accepts surrendered animals from families who can no longer keep them. If you find yourself in this situation with a cat or dog, learn more about rehoming options by clicking the button below.

Surrendering & Rehoming Pets

Getting your pet microchipped gives them the best chance of reuniting with you. Choosing to get your pet chipped at WAHS comes at a very reasonable cost, while also supporting homeless animals.
