Donating to the Auction
For the auction to be a success, basket variety is key and that’s where we need the community’s help! Physical donations can be dropped off at the back garage door of WAHS on October Mondays between 3pm-6pm; you can also call 608-687-8730 (Bobbi) or 507-450-4735 (Tina) and one of the basket makers would be happy to pick up your contribution at another time. You are welcome to bring donations anytime before November 3rd. To be included in printed donor acknowledgements, donations must be received before October 29th, 2026.

Donate Items to make baskets
You can donate individual items for us to create baskets with, or you can let your creative side run wild and arrange completed baskets! The only things we ask are that items are NEW and any items in food-related baskets are nonperishable and not expired.
Baskets can span a wide range of themes. Some ideas include:
Pet pampering items: bedding, enrichment items, leash & collar sets, treats, toys
Kitchen essentials: utensils, towels, mitts, hot pads, decorative napkins and placemats, appliances, matching sets
Gift cards, certificates, event tickets, museum passes, memberships, experiences
Food & drink: new and unopened coffees/teas, beer/wine (and glasses), chocolates, nuts, gourmet candy, sausages, crackers, pretzels
Others: sports items, candles, baby items, holiday treasures, bath & body items, artwork, music items
Make a Monetary Donation
If you want to help out but can't decide which items to give, consider a monetary donation toward the event.
Monetary donations allow us to purchase needed items for the baskets as the preparation continues. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
You can easily donate online through the button below. After selecting “Make a Donation” and submitting your information, choose “An Affair for the Animals.”
Mailed monetary donations are also welcome. If you do so, make sure to write “An Affair for the Animals” on the envelope and send to 1112 East Broadway Street, Winona, MN 55987.
