About Twist:

Twist came to WAHS in spring 2024 as part of a large intake group, and he’s now the last one waiting for a home. He’s seeking a family that’ll provide ample adjustment time, patience, and kindness.

Like the other members of his group, Twist had a long journey to regain his health – and realize the joys that people can offer. Over time, Twist began to bloom and gained a great deal of confidence. Around those whom he’s familiar with, Twist now demonstrates his playful, goofy character whenever he can. And he’s one of the first to eagerly greet his favorite friends!

When new people come to meet him, Twist may act uninterested initially and might not descend from his perch right away – but he actually just needs time to build trust and familiarity. Once he feels comfortable, Twist will saunter right up to request scratches and attention. It’s quite endearing to witness.

Twist will fit well in a patient, understanding household where he’s able to gradually explore and seek out companionship on his own terms. It’s also crucial that Twist finds an adopter who has another cat since he truly thrives with a feline buddy.
