A little about Valentine:

With this girl in your life, you’ll have a loving, devoted Valentine every day of the year! Valentine (aka Val) is a new addition at WAHS and she’s ready to start the meet-and-greet process.

Valentine came to the shelter thanks to a concerned community member who found her wandering near a state park. Despite efforts to locate her family, the possibility became more likely that Valentine was probably abandoned after being used for breeding. Because of these unfortunate circumstances we don’t know much about Valentine’s previous life - but she’s wasting no time showing us all her wonderful qualities each day. She’s eager to start a new chapter with a dedicated, adoring family.

More than anything, Valentine adores being near company. She’s very outgoing and friendly towards people, whether they’re a trusted friend or a new introduction. She’ll happily snuggle up for some hugs and attention after playtime.

Speaking of playtime, Valentine’s fairly active and especially enjoys squeak and tug toys. She’s thrilled to go on adventure walks, during which time she works on perfecting her leash manners. There’s no doubt that Valentine will catch on quickly with a consistent, patient guide since she’s intelligent and loves to learn.

Valentine’s ideal match is a person or family who’s around most of the day so she doesn’t have to be alone. Since she’s fairly energetic, an active home is a plus. She’ll need both mental and physical activity to remain healthy.

While Valentine still needs to put on a bit of weight and be spayed before an official adoption, she’s very ready to meet new people and - hopefully - her forever family! Get your application filled out below to set up a visit.
