About Pow and Boing:
Pow, Boing, and their fellow cat companions came into the shelter’s care with a large group of cats and they’ve all had a lengthy journey to get healthy, socialized, and transitioned into the adoptable cats space. While Pow and Boing have been medically cleared for a while now, they’re still two of the more reserved members of the group and need an extra special someone to be their patient hero.
During their time receiving medical treatments, Pow and Boing were kennel mates to keep each other company. This forged a strong bond between the two felines that has continued to strengthen over time, and their friendship is a source of confidence and comfort. They’re hardly ever seen without the other. Considering this, we feel they have the best chance of long-term success by starting their home journey together as a bonded pair.
When Pow was in the midst of his medical journey, away from all the commotion, he came out of his shell over time and enjoyed seeking out attention from his caregivers – even showing off his goofy side! Pow did pull back a bit once he moved to the front office area with lots of new people, sights, and smells, but he’s beginning to build confidence again and shows great appreciation for gentle chin scratches.
Boing began her journey on the same socialization level as Pow, but she’s definitely the most hesitant of the group. Although she’s made great strides in building confidence with trusted people, she’ll absolutely need a kind, patient person to help her move past her remaining barriers and develop a trusting bond.
For cats like Pow and Boing, the right adopter coming along can make a world of difference. You can tell that they want to connect, but they’re simply scared. We’ve seen cats like Pow and Boing blossom in forever homes that understand their shyness and time needed to build confidence. They deserve a family that’ll come into their life and show all the good things of home life. Please consider changing Pow and Boing’s lives forever and submit an application below.
