About Echo:

Meet Echo, one of four very special littermates who first arrived at WAHS in December 2022. All four were initially fighting off ringworm - and also tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). FeLV significantly lengthened Echo’s battle with the pesky condition, which cleared up about 6 months ago. Now she’s reached the most important time in her life - finding a forever home!

The best way to describe Echo is a bundle of bubbly personality. She’s ALL about the attention, willing to roll around for hours for pets, scratches, and attention. “Social butterfly” encapsulates Echo’s disposition; she’s friendly towards all people, loves other cats, and seems very intrigued by dogs. While Echo would get along well with another FeLV+ cat (or her sisters), she’s confident and comfortable enough to go home as a single pet too. Echo would be honored to be your personal lap warmer for life.

Due to Echo’s positive FeLV status, she’ll need a bit more specific home than the average cat. Echo will benefit from an owner with FeLV experience, or at least the willingness to learn what it’s all about. Attached at the bottom of this description are a few informational articles about the disease, but we suggest additional research.

It’s encouraged to get educated on the realities of the disease, without being overly fearful about considering FeLV adoption. While it’s true that FeLV+ cats can have a shorter lifespan, it’s equally possible for them to live out a long, healthy life. Because Echo’s FeLV status was identified in early kittenhood and she’s been safely indoors since then, her future is promising. None of the sisters have encountered any significant health concerns, and they even enjoyed a months-long foster home stay. Just by looking at them, you wouldn’t know they’re different from any other cats!

Echo has plenty of love and joy to provide a family. We ask adopters to please consider meeting her - especially if you have another FeLV+ feline, since Echo loves cat companionship! She deserves to experience the best life in a forever home with people who adore her.

If you’re interested in meeting Echo (or her sisters), please fill out the form below. Once you submit the application, we’ll get in touch to discuss the specifics and arrange a visit. Thank you for your consideration!
