About Charlie:

Charlie’s a lovable, sweet guy who found his way back to WAHS and is seeking a new home. He’s sociable, outgoing, extremely intelligent, and loving. Charlie is well-trained, knowing the commands of ‘sit,’ ‘stay,’ ‘wait,’ ‘back up,’ ‘turn around,’ and ‘kiss,’ in addition to being kennel-trained, house trained, and the king of playing fetch.

Along with walks and playtime with his favorite toys, Charlie likes activities that keep his mind active. He’s shown a particular enjoyment of treat-related brain games. And when he’s all tuckered out, he’s a great snuggle buddy. 

Charlie may be anxious at first, but when you earn his trust he’s eager to show you his true self which includes LOTS of butt-wiggling happy greetings and showing off his favorite toys!

Charlie’s an all-around great dog who would make an excellent addition to a variety of families. He’s experienced living with cats, guinea pigs, and people of all ages. He’s considered to be dog-selective and does best around other canines who are more submissive. Charlie’s ability to have a dog friend is truly dependent on each individual and a slow, measured introduction.
