Personality description from Cotton’s current family:

“Cotton is so sweet; he wants to be cuddled all the time. He isn't skittish, but he isn't exceptionally brave either. He'll bark at strangers and then look to see if he did the right thing. 

He loves to chew on wood, so you will want to keep something he likes to chew around. He has had free access to about 10+ acres of woods, and has proven that he has an exceptional nose, a hankering for making woodchips, will grab whatever you drop and try to eat it before you get it from him, and that he's perfectly happy running through the brush as if it were a paved path. He trots like a little pony and is good with kids, though he may bump them over, or try to hop up if they're running about. 

He's soft as a lamb, and will stand on his back legs like a circus bear to ask to come into the house. Cotton’s easily trained through positive reinforcement methods. He doesn't seem to dislike cats, but he does like to chase them. I imagine in a house he would be perfectly willing to give a cat with claws their space, once he realizes they have claws. He also seems to like water, though we haven't let him try to go for a swim. He's a sweet boy, who hesitates to use his big voice. And he's got cute freckles, too.”
